What is KALO KARE?

KALO KARE offers a culturally grounded way to connect with support and resources made for the community. We understand that navigating resources can feel overwhelming, especially when trusted cultural pathways are not always visible in Western systems. Through the KALO KARE Program, community members can connect directly with our team of Traditional Health Workers (THW), who are here to provide guidance, support, and referrals rooted in trust and cultural understanding.

Why This Space Matters

This specific program is important because it is the first Pacific Islander-focused resource service designed with our community at the center, not as an afterthought. KALO KARE exists to bridge gaps that many of our families and individuals face when it comes to accessing healthcare and having culturally grounded support. Too often, our community is underserved or overlooked, and this program directly responds to those inequities by providing care that understands our values, our experiences, and our needs.

At the same time, programs like KALO KARE rely heavily on community participation and demonstrated impact to continue operating. Without your support, especially through signing up, engaging with services, and showing that this program is needed, we risk losing funding that allows us to keep these resources available. Each number, story, outcome, and person who signs up strengthens our ability to sustain and grow this work.
